Canoe Fishing World Championship

 Join us for the Canoe Fishing World Championships at Piispajärvi on July 3, 2027!

- The competition area is Piispajärvi, Suomussalmi

- There are two categories in the competition: individual and team. There is no limit to team size. The competition is open to everyone!

- The winners of the competition are the individual and team that catch the most fish (kg). Different fish species have different coefficients.

- There are no age limits in the competition. Guardians are responsible for minors and other dependents.

- Participants are responsible for their own safety. Life jackets are mandatory. Consuming alcohol is prohibited during the competition.

- The entry fee for the individual competition is €70. For the team competition, the team fee is €50 + €50 per individual. The entry fee includes the evening program. A 10% discount is offered for those who purchase individual competition tickets in advance. Advance ticket sales are open during spring 2027. Advance payment is non-refundable. 

- Every competitor must have paid the fishing management fee for 2027. 

- The entry fee can be paid either in advance or on-site. 

- Only fishing from a canoe/boat is allowed in the competition. 

- The use of outboard motors is prohibited. 

- Participants can join using their own canoe (or by renting one at the event location). Rental canoes are limited, so we recommend registering in advance and reserving a canoe beforehand. 

- All legal active fishing methods are allowed (no nets or fish traps).

- All catch fish must be brought in for weighing. Fish cannot be left in the environment. The event organizer will collect the fish for further processing. Participants can take their catch with them if they wish.

- The event organizer reserves the right to make changes to the rules.
